A Little about Me

I am a retired Podiatrist (foot and ankle surgeon), father and grandfather. Now that my time is my own I am doing things that I especially enjoy. Interacting with pets and other animals is one of those things. I am even learning to play golf (badly) now. In high school and college I worked as a veterinary assistant for several years and thoroughly enjoyed that time in my life.

Training and Education

Pet First Aid

  • PetTech offers CPR and first aid training specifically for dogs and cats. I received certification through their PetSaver Program, an 8hr course designed to cover the basics in pet first aid and wellness. Recertification occurs every 2yrs through additional class time and training.
  • Successfully administered canine CPR during one emergency.

My degrees are a B.S. and DPM (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine) as well as board certification is both Podiatric Surgery and Podiatric Orthopedics.

Volunteer Involvement and Other Community Activities

I served three terms on the Colorado State Board of Podiatry examiners, have been twice President of the Colorado Podiatric Medical Association. I enjoy writing both articles and editorials and have over 50 publications in my name.

After all this why am I doing pet sitting…..because I love it!
