A Little about Me

Hello, my name is Sharry Halpin. I have lived in Boulder County for over 25 years and love it here! I grew up in Denver which is where my love for animals began. I would bring home every stray animal I could find and beg my parents to let me keep them. I wanted to be a veterinarian but my passion turned towards teaching exercise classes, which I have done for 30 years and still teach at the YMCA in both Lafayette and Longmont. I was 3 when I started, not really, just protecting my age. (LOL) I have never lost my passion for caring for animals and over the years have gotten many friends from the humane society. I currently have a granny kitty, which found me, a very sweet pit bull named Baby, a hamster, and a salt and fresh water aquarium. In addition to my beloved pets, I have 3 wonderful boys, ages 11,16 and 20. I was a stay at home mom and homeschooled my boys for about 8 years. Unfortunately, like most kids do, they grow up and need you less, but on a good note it gives me more time to once again seek my own interests.
I got involved with Must Love Fur through another fellow pet sitter, Sarah Mason, whom I have known for many years. She introduced me to Megan Harris. I currently have my own business which involves transportation and working with seniors. I am a care taker at heart for both animals and people. Must Love Fur has been a great fit for me and also allows me to work in my own business. I have enjoyed all the pets I have had the privilege to care for and love them as my own. I look forward to more and more wonderful experiences with old and new furry friends!
